Chandni Chowk is a popular area for foodies where they can try Paranthas at Paranthe Wali Gali apart from Chaat items such as Papdi Chaat, Kachaalu Chutney and Khasta Papdis. Delhi also surprises you with a long list of dessert items. Rabdi Faluda is a must try dish apart from hot Jalebis.

What to shop

Delhi is a paradise for shopping lovers with some of the most exciting shopping markets dotted here. Local markets of the city are perfect to bag great stuff at knock down prices. Travellers can visit Dilli Haat for handicrafts, clothing, ornaments and food. Janpath and Tibetan Market are ideal to buy clothing, footwear, perfumes, brassware and handicrafts. Chandni Chowk of Old Delhi is the best place to bag almost everything at incredibly low prices. For trendy clothes, the Sarojini Nagar is a great pick.
Delhi’s Connaught Place area, Select Citywalk, DLF Promenade and Ambience Mall are ideal spots to buy high end brands.

How to reach

Indira Gandhi International Airport is a major airport connecting Delhi with rest of the world. Delhi has five major railway stations, including New Delhi Railway Station, Old Delhi Railway Station, Nizamuddin Railway Station, Anand Vihar Railway Terminal and Sarai Rohilla. Thus, travelling here by train is a good option. Delhi is connected to Jaipur by NH 8 and Agra by NH2. The city is also well linked with destinations like Dehradun, Chandigarh, Amritsar and Alwar.
