Arunachal Pradesh

Nicknamed as 'the land of dawn-lit mountains', it is the largest of Seven Sister States. Tawang Monastery, the largest monastery in India and second largest in the world render it special recognition. Ziro, a town inhabited by tribal will give you a spectacular trekking experience. Make sure to visit the oldest town in the state, Pasighat to witness its enchanting landscapes. 

Sikkim

Assam

Meghalaya

Meaning "the abode of clouds", it is the wettest region of India with Mawsynram as the wettest place on Earth. A thick forest cover dominates 70% of the state comprising Garo, Khasi and Jaintia hills. It receives heavy rainfall year round and is counted among the richest botanical habitats of Asia. You can take a look at the indigenous species in Nokrek Biosphere Reserve. One of the famous attractions is Cherapunji, the second wettest place on Earth.

Nagaland

Rejuvenate in this quaint hill state blessed with eye-pleasing mountains and valleys. The predominant tribal region grabs attention with the famous Hornbill festival. You should visit its capital city, Kohima which presents an interesting mélange of history and culture. Dimapur, the largest city will leave you in awe of its scenic landscape and 13th-century Kacharu Ruins.
