What to see

Charminar

Charminar is a monumental mosque and the global symbol of the city. It is beautifully located on the bank of Musi River. You will fall in love with the structure with four minarets standing elegantly. Notice the fine details, age-old huge clock, classy interiors and a mosque on the second floor. After exploring, you can also hop to famous Laad Bazaar which lies close to it.

Golconda Fort

One of the famous attractions of Hyderabad is this colossal citadel and fort. The name originates from Golla Konda, meaning 'Shepherd's hill'. It is a cluster of four forts that will show you captivating features like Toli Masjid, Rahban cannon, Kala Mandir and huge pavilions. The most distinguishable is the acoustic feature that reverberates sound from Bala Hisar pavilion (1 km away) back to the entrance.

Qutb Shahi tombs

After the tour of Golkonda Fort, head to these eponymous tombs of the rulers of Qutb Shahi dynasty, located 1 km away. The tombs are beautified with enchanting artwork that pulls travelers from far afield. These are ringed by a beautiful garden called Ibrahim Bagh that adds to its beauty.

Hussain Sagar Lake

It is a necklace-shaped lake named after the famous Sufi saint of Golkonda, Hussain Shah Wali. The lake stretching in an area of 5.7 sq. km separates Hyderabad from its twin city, Secunderabad. You will encounter an enormous statue of Gautam Buddha in the middle of the lake. The lakeside is dotted with Lumbini Park, Patton tank and Snow world that attracts all age groups.

Chowmahalla Palace

As the name suggests, it is a group of four palaces built by the Nizams of Hyderabad. It will put you in a state of reverie with its hypnotizing features like Clock Tower, Council Hall and Roshan Bangla. Be ready for a thrilling experience inside its museum that exhibits an impressive collection of vintage cars, including Rolls Royce used by the Nizam Kings
