Cubbon Park

As you treat your eyes with a tour of Bangalore’s fabled gardens, Cubbon Park is definitely not-be-missed. It is laid out in an area of 300 acres and adorned with over 6000 plants and trees. Apart from refreshing you with its colorful beauty, it also provides interesting knowledge about botanical specimens. The park houses the State Library, red Gothic structure and decorative fountains & statues.

Vidhan Soudha

Start your city tour with Vidhan Soudha, the iconic landmark of the city spread in 60 acres. Its construction began in 1951 with the foundation laid by Jawaharlal Nehru. The remarkable fusion of Mysore Neo-Dravidian with the elements of Indo-Saracenic and Dravidian styles makes it the finest architectural marvel of Bangalore.

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden

Lal Bagh Botanical Garden is nature's wonderland that you never wish to leave. Spread in 240-acre, it is famous for having India's largest collection of rare tropical and subtropical plants. A stroll in this park will also show you an ornamental clock, a topiary park, one of Kempagowda's watch towers, a glasshouse (resembling London's Crystal Palace) and Snow White with the Seven Dwarfs enriching the beauty of a lawn.

Ulsoor Lake

Also called Halasuru Lake, it is one of the largest lakes of Bangalore. The name comes from its location viz. Halasuru that lies in the proximity of MG Road. Peaceful location, picturesque scenery, pint-sized islands and picture-perfect sunset; its idyllic setting makes it favorite picnic spot of the locals. The best way to enjoy the lake is with a boat ride that will surely refresh you with its serenity.    

Bengaluru Palace

Built in 1884 by Chamaraja Wodeyar of Bangalore, it is an imposing palace modeled on the Windsor Castle in England. It reflects elegant Tudor revival style architecture housing open courtyards, ballroom, the Durbar Hall, etc. The walls are decorated with fascinating mid-19th-century oil-paintings including Greek and Dutch paintings. A dining table belonging to the Diwan of Mysore, Sir Mirza Ismail is one of the key attractions which astonish many.

By Air- Kempegowda International Airport serves the city with regular domestic as well as international flights.

By Rail- The city has four railways stations of which Bengaluru City Railway Station and Yeswantpur Junction are two main stations. These offer trains to all major Indian cities.

By Road- Bangalore is reachable by a well-maintained network of roads that link it to the rest of the country.
