One of the drawcards of Kanyakumari is this 3000-year-old temple dedicated to Goddess Kanyakumari, popularly known as ‘Kumari Bhagavathy Amman’. The entry is allowed through Northern gate only as the Eastern gate remains closed, except during festivals.

Also called Circular Fort, it is an 18th-century fort made entirely of granite. The gem from yesteryears was built by the Venad kings of Travancore as a coastal defense fortification. Apart from the noteworthy architecture, also enjoy a picture-perfect panorama of two seas and the Western Ghats all together.
