Mehrangarh Fort & Museum

Mehrangarh Fort is the symbol of Jodhpur city fabled for its beauty and history. It was built by Rao Jodha, the founder of Jodhpur, in 1459. The sky-high walls, massive gates, palatial features and fine artwork speak volume of the then craftsmanship. Jaswant Thada

Jodhpur Government Museum

Also called Sardar Government Museum, it is a 19th-century museum showcasing a rich history of Rajput Maharajas. Take a sneak peek into the royal world with its vintage collection. The exhibits include stone sculptures, inscriptions, coins, miniature paintings, armory, textiles, manuscripts and more displayed in different sections.

Mandore

Mandore is a sleepy town which used to be the powerful capital of Marwar. It now holds great historical importance with several intriguing monuments. Visit here to see the exquisite Mandore Gardens which are known for having cenotaphs of many rulers of Jodhpur. The joy of visiting gardens is in strolling along the Chattris (cenotaphs), of which, the most important is of Maharaja Ajit Singh. Other attractions include Mandodari temple, memorials and a museum.

Machiya Safari Park

Give a touch of thrill and adventure to your Jodhpur trip with a visit to the famous local safari park. It lies on the way to Jaisalmer, around 1 km from popular Kailana Lake.
